Location is 5 stars. And perhaps a competitive pricing. That's it.
Here is why we give 2/5 stars:
1) Service (is the weakest point):
--- What you see in their "offer" is different to what you get: we decided to take this hotel because they pictured a more or less large table in our booked type of room (Double), but eventually you get a table parody where even your laptop won't fit (see photo); it was crucial since we had a "workation mode" this time; after asking their reception and manager to fix this -- they didn't have available rooms to upgrade us (surprise?), instead, their manager (long-hair guy) offered to bring us an extra table -- eventually, we got a squared, wobbling, classic BAR (!) table... where you (just imagine) definitely didn't enjoy working and writing
-- after asking why you show one photo in the offer for Double Room but eventually it is significantly different in real life, this modern admin guy said "I don't know, I will ask my manager..." -- pretty solid and professional manager and problem solver, huh?
--- it took them around 2 hours to "fix this 15-min problem", meaning we lost precious time of a limited vacation (and thus money => ski rental and ski pass) to go skiing that very day
--- as an excuse, this long-haired manager gave us (after me asking) a breakfast voucher (worth $20) that... turned out to be for ONE person (not one room) while we obviously travelled as a couple and it was an unpleasant surprise at the restaurant; explained reasons by the same stylish guy were just "we couldn't do more" while for us it was rather their values and service level but not a price itself; overall, this fancy manager looked and behaved careless and with some hidden rudeness, if I may
--- last but not least, they once didn't have ropes for rent, and the next day brought us 4 ropes (instead of 2) so we had to return -- so imaging how their admin/accounting system is "organized"... :)
2) Room size:
--- insanely small so that you won't be able to dry your ski clothes (they have dry rooms but for ski, boots, etc. only), organize your other stuff, and more
--- sound-proof is rather poor (although not that terrible) -- so expect hearing people walking and closing/opening main building's doors, especially if you live on the 0 floor (as we were...), hear outside people
Finally, the location, the views, the ski-to-door access is definitely a strong 5. Not sure if we will return and recommend to our community. Good luck with your choices and ski vacations.
We appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms, but we were frustrated by their size, especially how narrow they are, the almost non-existent ventilation in the shower and toilet, the lack of radiators, slippers and robes, but especially …
The hotel, for the price, should have much better quality. The perks included a coffee machine in the room, a fridge, and a nice shower. Otherwise, the room was tiny for the price. There was no water bottle in the room on arrival, which, in cheaper hotels we stayed in during our trip, was standard. For some reason, we need to pay 6€ to rent a robe, which should be included, or else you will freeze while going to the pool or sauna since the path is outside.
The hotel is great for going to ski❤️ what I don’t really like is that they don’t have any way of taking care of their facilities, I saw multiple times people with their bad suits inside the sauna and people drinking beer with the glass bottle in the pool.
Nice hotel right next to the forest (and the ski-lift). In summer the pool is too tiny for the guest volume. Wellness area was nice (and enough big for the summer guest number - in winter the sauna for 10 persons might be not enough.) Breakfast was okay. The Hungarian staff was super nice, the German lead-waitress was pretty rude and seemed irritated all the time.
The place is gorgeous, room service is impeccable. All the appliances are perfect. The hotel is a walking distance to restaurants, transportation to the ski station and they also have very near a giant store for ski appliances where you can buy or rent yours.
The only two improvements points I would say, would be the language, as the hotel is not much prepared to clients that don’t speak German and this was a bit difficult. Another thing is that their website was not very clear about the opening dates of the ski station. On the website they just say that they’re very close to a ski station (which is true) and they have all you need to ski classes and appliances near by (which is also true) however I made my reservation in May-23 for the first week of Dec-23 an just when I got there we discovered that all ski school were closed. Luckily we find a bit far from the hotel a school that was open and we could finally have our ski classes. Another thing is, that we were also informed that they just decided to open the ski station a couple days before our arrival, and as per the website this was not clear, by reading the website in English the ideia is that the hotel only opens when the ski station is also opened.
Super hotel, close to the skilift. Our kids really liked the heated outdoor pool and the cozy lobby and dining area.
This hotel was fantastic, rooms were beautiful and the whole building had a lovely cosy and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were fabulous, coffee machine was a great touch with lovely coffee every morning, also a fridge in the room. The …
